About Stove Top Stories

Filed Under:
Stove Top Stories, by Johnny Baxley, is a cookbook.  It is also a journal, a memoir, and an irreverent lament on a life of hedonism.  A micro-story preludes each recipe- all of which can be completed entirely on the stove top.  The book reads like a memoir, and does not follow traditionally accepted protocol for recipe-writing.  The book contains blog posts, social network posts, and old fashioned organic recollections that serve as inspiration for the stories that, in turn, inspire each dish.  Chapters are divided by categories of food, as well as a chapter dedicated to cooking fundamentals.  Because the book does not conform to a standard formula or theme, and for the content therein,  its niche status is confirmed.  This book is rated R by the author for suggestive scenes, violence, and foul language.
