I absolutely hate the lights on Chinese scooters. They are so weak. When one of my 35/35w went out, I decided to add one. First I used a large driving light that had a bad spread pattern, and didn't really like the location. (It was located above the dead bird.) I found this one that fit just fine, has nice spread, isn't too bright, but adds much needed visibility. I wanted to run it directly off the battery, which I did. Doesn't draw too many amps, and can be turned on with a switch I mounted. 15a fuse as well, for shorts, even though I weather proofed the wiring like a pro.
Can be adjusted easily using a Phillips head.
I then decided, since I was in there, that I needed some usb action. I found a 12v charger rated at 1 amp for awesome charging, and I mounted inside the glovebox, quickstyle. I could have left continuous power to it, but I prefer to control my electricity, so I added a lighted toggle. I have extra slots available for more lighting and either a top mounted usb port (will need a regulator for the one I have in mind), or a cigarette lighter. Methinks cigarette lighter. No issues with battery, it's pretty new and nothing really gets used unless I'm riding -however- I did have the light on for 30 min without the motor on and it still started up like a champ.
I love buttons, toggles, and switches. Purty.
Quickmout, but snug. works like a champ! Charging on the go!
